I worked on A Day At The Beach, an educational game for culturally and linguistically diverse communities, aimed at reducing drownings in Australia. My role included art direction, UX and UI design, all character designs, and some animation. I also managed the production of visual assets to make sure everything felt cohesive and accessible. The game puts players in everyday beach situations where they learn important safety tips through interactive play. The characters represent a range of cultural backgrounds, and the visuals are designed to communicate clearly without relying on language. The result is an engaging, easy to use game that blends learning with fun.

A Day At The Beach was a chance to use design to make a real difference. Creating characters and an interface that help teach vital safety skills in a way that’s inclusive and easy to understand has been one of the most rewarding projects I’ve worked on.
